The untold ‘true’ story of what really happened at the end of WWII.

After losing to the Allied Forces, Hitler and his Cronies manage to escape Germany, and go into hiding in the last place anyone would think to look… YORKSHIRE!

Swapping the Hugo Boss for Tweed & Flat Caps, and adopting strong Northern Accents, Adolf and the Lads meet down the pub to plan their ‘epic’ comeback… Operation Fourth Reich.

‘Ay Up, Hitler!’ is a biting and daring satirical comedy, written by Hampshire playwright David McCulloch, and originally directed by Award-Winning Director Chris Hawley.

A ridiculous farce on the surface, but underneath the play is a stark warning about the dangers of fascism rising in our current socio-political climate… and it has the Y.M.C.A. What more could you possibly need from a piece of theatre?

The show premiered with a sold out run at Bristol’s Alma Tavern & Theatre, in September 2021, this was followed with critical acclaim and sold out performances across the South of England, with shows at esteemed venues such as London’s Museum of Comedy, The Stage Door in Southampton, and a highly successful run at the Brighton Fringe in 2022.

In 2023, ‘Ay Up, Hitler!’ made its Edinburgh Festival Fringe debut, performing at theSpace @ Surgeons Hall to critical and commercial acclaim, where they received an OffFest Nomination for ‘Best New Writing’ and took home the Derek Award for ‘Outstanding Contribution to the Fringe’.
